One of the priority tasks for Sheremetyevo International Airport in preparation for welcoming guests and participants of the FIFA World Cup 2018 is the standardization of the quality of services provided at the airport. In 2017, the construction of new class parking facilities will be completed. Parking lots with a total capacity of over 1,000 spaces and a parking fee of 200 rubles per day will be put into operation. The newly constructed facilities will set a new standard for surface parking near airports; for 200 rubles per day, passengers will have the opportunity to park their vehicles in paved parking areas with markings, lighting, video surveillance, quality transfers, and comfortable waiting rooms. Previously, the airport was surrounded by parking lots costing from 300 rubles per day, where customers' cars were parked in mud on inadequately equipped sites. Currently, the work on paving has been completed, and the installation of automated parking equipment and the arrangement of access roads is underway. The airport is actively pursuing a policy of automating processes and launching new services related to parking space. In the near future, plans include the construction of new parking facilities with the overall idea of "Further-Cheaper"; in 2018, parking options will be fully launched at the following rates: - 600 rubles per day, 2 minutes' walk from terminals EF; - 400 rubles per day, 7 minutes' walk from terminals EF; - 200 rubles per day – a 5-minute comfortable transfer equipped with child seats. In the future, customers will be able to reserve parking spaces and order additional ancillary services.
