The 4th transport line has been put into operation – the traffic flows to Terminals B and C have been separated.

The Sheremetyevo International Airport has expanded the terminal area of the Northern Terminal Complex – STC (Terminals B and C) with the opening of the 4th transport line. The new two-lane access road separates transport flows to Terminals B and C (see traffic diagrams). Cars heading to the "Arrivals" zone of Terminal B now have the option of direct access. In turn, vehicles leaving the "Arrivals" zone of Terminal C can exit the airport immediately without needing to go through the terminal area of Terminal B. Thus, the additional 4th line has reduced the volume of transit traffic and increased the overall capacity of the terminal area. Line No. 4 is marked on updated road signs on Sheremetyevskoye Highway and is taken into account in Yandex's mapping services when planning routes to Terminals B and C. This project is part of a comprehensive program to improve road traffic in the airport area. Sheremetyevo International Airport, in collaboration with the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of Moscow and the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region, has previously implemented a number of improvements: - Distribution of transport flows in the "Departure" and "Arrival" zones of the STC terminal area; - Optimization of taxi operating rules; - Reconstruction of exit groups in the "Arrival" zone of the STC; - Organization of specialized sectors for passenger boarding by priority and types of transport in the terminal areas of Terminals B and C. With the introduction of the additional transport line, the area of the "Arrival" zone of the STC has increased by 25%, and the number of entry groups has increased to 11 (by 60%). The average time for vehicles to pass through the "Arrival" zones of Terminals B and C has decreased from 58 seconds to 22 seconds (by 2.6 times), and the speed of movement has significantly increased – on average from 12 to 32 km/h. The expansion of the terminal area of the STC and the construction of exits from adjacent facilities and overhead pedestrian crossings on Aviatsionnaya Street have reduced the frequency and duration of traffic jams in the area of the transportation hub formed by Aviatsionnaya Street, Sheremetyevskoye Highway, and Lobnenskoye Highway by 4.8 times. The renovation projects for the road infrastructure are actively supported by Yandex, thanks to which innovations are promptly reflected in the operations of Yandex.Go and Yandex.Maps applications.
